Glo routes 4G LTE across 33 towns

The next generation network to a total of
33 towns across the country. The company
recently added 12 new locations:
Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State,
Ikeja, Oregun, Opebi and Isolo in Lagos;
Mpape and Utako in Abuja. Others are
Rukpokwu, Rumuibekwe, Eleme Junction,
Woji, Eliozu, and Rumuigbo, all in Port
Harcourt, Rivers State.

Globacom had last week announced the
rollout of 4G LTE services in Bonny,
Escravos, Forcados, Abraka (Delta State
University), Ekpoma (Ambrose Alli
University), Okada (Igbinedion University),
Agbor (College of Education), and Sapele
(Western Delta University). At launch, the
cities of Lagos, Port Harcourt in Rivers
State, Abuja in the Federal Capital City, Jos
in Plateau State, Warri in Delta State, Eket in
Akwa Ibom State, Benin City in Edo State,
Yola in Adamawa State were live on the
Glo 4G LTE network. The company says
that this reinforces its promise during the
launch of the 4G LTE services that the roll-out to other major cities of the country
would be implemented in quick succession
in the days ahead. Prominent among the
benefits to be enjoyed by Globacom
subscribers on the 4G LTE network are free
access to millions of music, video and
movie on demand. The Glo 4G LTE network
allows subscribers to download ultra high
definition videos in seconds through a
mobile broadband internet that operates
speeds many times faster than the 3G
network. There is also the 4G LTE router
which comes with Ultra High Speed
Internet, a landline, free SIM and 60 GB data
(shareable) valid for a month, as well as
free world-class content at the rate of
N31,000. The company is also offering its
4G MiFi package for N25, 000. It includes
free SIM, 60 GB of shareable data valid for
one month free, in addition to world-class
content while the 4G data bundles package
include N500 for1.6GB of data, N1000 for
3.2GB data7.5GB for N2000and 10GB for
N2,500. It also include 18GB and 24GB for
N4000 and N5000 respectively. To join the
4G LTE network, subscribers are required to
buy and register a 4G LTE Subscriber
Identity Module (SIM) or swap their existing
SIM for a 4G SIM.
