Attending the Grammys is a milestone for any artist, but for Camila Cabello, the moment represented a stunning series of firsts.

As a star who has spoken out against the music industry's over-sexualization of female artists, Cabello sought to focus on her love of fantastical fashions rather than baring skin.

“I just wanted to feel like myself,” said Cabello via email after the show. “I love fantasy; I love fairytales, and my dress had a very ethereal feel to it, with the pastel colors and the flowers—it was very sensitive and soft.” Working with stylist Karla Welch, Cabello chose a delicate Miri Couture dress that provided the evening with its princess moment. Accessorized with a sparkling Judith Leiber clutch and a diamond choker by Jacob & Co., the look stood out amidst the sea of slinky black and skimpy gowns.
